Spicy Mexican Taco Pizza Recipe, How To Make Video Recipes

Combine the flavors of Italy and Mexico with this tasty Mexican Taco pizza recipe. We make this pizza about once a month, after we make our nacho recipe, we usually have some left over chicken, chilis, beans, scallions and cilantro. Perfect for a Mexi style pizza.

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 small can Hunts tomato sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons puree of canned chipotle peppers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Mix, taste and adjust the seasonings.

Prepare Amanda’s homemade thin pizza crust and reserver. Recipe can be found here.

Mexican Pizza Toppings:

  • 3/4 cup Grilled chipotle lime chicken (watch nacho recipe for info)
  • 1/3 cup canned rinsed black beans
  • 1/3 cup fire roasted Anaheim peppers
  • 1/3 cup diced fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup minced scallions (green onions)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons minced cilantro
  • 2 cups Kraft 4 cheese blend (we like light cheese)

Method:

Top par baked (and or grilled) pizza crust with the Mexican pizza sauce as shown in video. Top with chicken, tomatoes, green chilis, black beans, scallions and cilantro. Top with cheese and bake for ten minutes at 400 degrees.

Tip: Bake the pizzas right on the rack (as shown in the video) do not place the topped pizza crusts in the oven on a cookie sheet. This will result in a pizza that is not quite as crisp.

Enjoy,
Chef Brian
